Our Road to Green & Clean Beauty

What does it mean by cruelty free?

Cruelty-Free beauty refers to the ingredients used in a product did not conduct animal testing at any stages of their product or development.

Our three golden rules that define cruelty-free beauty:

💚Do not test on animals at any stage of product development
💚No third party is testing their finished products or ingredients animal on their behalf
💚Do not sell to countries that mandate animal testing by law

We verify the cruelty-free status directly with brands i.e. reaching out by email/social media platforms. In addition, we also reference to great resources such as PETA, Leaping Bunny Ethnical Elephant and Cruelty-Free Kitty who are also immensely passionate and actively involved about this topic.

The difference between vegan beauty and cruelty-free beauty

By definition, vegan beauty means the product does not contain animal-derived ingredients. The two does not necessarily come hand-in-hand, meaning a cruelty-free product may not be vegan and vice versa. You can browse our vegan beauty range here.

Why is it important

The most obvious reason is help saving animals to prevent animal testing by going cruelty-free, but there are more benefits to consumers in general. As cruelty-free products do not test on animals, the ingredients and formulation overall tend to be healthier and less harmful to the skin due to less chemicals added into the products.

Cruelty-free and vegan products usually take longer time from development to production than other non cruelty-free products on the market, however the products are generally better for your skin.
